They argue for greater inclusion and unity within the Blackfeet Tribe, and seek to replace the blood quantum standard with lineal descent, wherein anyone who could provide verifiable proof of being the child, grandchild or great-grandchild of an enrolled member would qualify for Blackfeet tribal membership.”

I don’t know what other people think, but I’m all on board for this. I hate Blood Quantum and think it’s a load of horse shit, and that this will go further to protect and preserve the traditions, by letting Descendants (like yours truly) participate more equally. 

I am very much on board also; the only thing keeping me from being an enrolled member in my tribe is blood quantum that isn’t even accurate. My grandfather has a lot of documents that say he is “white” when he he was actually native.
